Yes. Every Pure Plant Home candle is free of paraffin, synthetic fragrance, phthalates, and petrochemicals. We hold a Certificate of Naturalness from an independent third-party laboratory, not just a marketing claim, but a verified result.

We use an exclusive, proprietary coconut wax blend. Coconut wax is plant-based, renewable and produces a slower, cooler burn than paraffin or soy. It diffuses essential oil aromas gently because of lower melt point and this remains consistent through the life of the candle.

Never. Every scent in our line comes from 100% pure essential oils steam-distilled or cold-pressed directly from plant material. We do not use fragrance oils, parfum, or any synthetic aromatic compounds. We do not use anything petrochemical based.

Burn time varies by size. Our standard 7 oz jars burn for approximately 40-50 hours, and our larger formats burn proportionally longer. Proper candle care trimming the wick before each burn, letting the candle burn to the other rim/edge of the vessel and keeping the candle away from drafts extends the life of every candle significantly.

Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Heat and UV light can cause the wax to soften and the essential oils to degrade over time. Stored properly, our candles have a shelf life of approximately two years.

Yes. All of our candles are vegan, no beeswax, no animal-derived ingredients of any kind. We are also cruelty-free.

Many customers with synthetic fragrance sensitivities find they can burn our candles comfortably because we use real essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance compounds. However, essential oils are still aromatic and may not be suitable for all sensitivities. We recommend burning in a ventilated space.

We use over 30 botanically-sourced essential oils including lavender, bergamot, eucalyptus, frankincense, ylang ylang, clove, cedarwood, patchouli, and many more. Each oil is selected for its aromatic quality and authentic properties. You can explore every ingredient in our Ingredient Glossary.

We source essential oils from established growers/ suppliers who specialize in authentic, non-adulterated-high grade plant extracts. Our oils are steam-distilled or cold-pressed from their plant, citrus fruits, flower sources, no solvent extraction for the oils used in our candles.

Coconut wax is made from coconut oil and is sustainable. It is plant-based, and has a lower melt point than paraffin or soy, produces minimal soot. The lower melt point allows essential oils to release more gently throughout the burn. It is the cleanest-burning natural wax available.

Essential oils are natural extracts from plant material, flowers, bark, leaves, seeds, or peels. They contain the actual aromatic and bioactive compounds from the plant. Fragrance oils are synthetic laboratory formulations designed to mimic natural scents. They do not contain the same plant-derived compounds and often include phthalates; they are entirely petrochemically derived and have other synthetic stabilizers. We use only real essential oils.

No. Our candles contain no paraffin of any kind, not as a wax base, not as a blending agent. Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct and can release compounds when burned that we have chosen to avoid entirely.

Tunneling happens when the first burn is cut short before the wax has melted all the way to the edges of the container. On your very first burn, allow the candle to burn until the entire surface is liquid, typically 2 to 4 hours depending on the diameter. This creates an even memory burn for every subsequent use.

A small mushroom-shaped carbon buildup on the wick tip is completely normal when burning natural wax candles. Simply extinguish the candle, allow it to cool completely, trim the wick to a quarter inch, and relight. This keeps the flame clean and prevents soot.

Before every single burn. Trim to a quarter inch each time. A properly trimmed wick produces a cleaner flame, reduces soot, and extends the life of your candle. Long wicks produce large, flickering flames that burn through wax too quickly and can leave black residue on the glass.

No more than four hours at a sitting. Extended burns can overheat the glass, accelerate wax consumption, and shorten the overall life of the candle. For best results, burn for one to four hours and allow the candle to cool fully before relighting.

Black soot on the jar rim is almost always caused by an untrimmed wick or a draft. Trim the wick to a quarter inch before every burn and keep the candle away from fans, air vents, and open windows. If soot has already appeared, wipe the inside of the jar carefully with a dry cloth once the wax has cooled.

Absolutely. Our glass containers are designed to be beautiful long after the candle is finished. Once approximately a quarter inch of wax remains, stop burning and allow the jar to cool. Remove the remaining wax with warm soapy water, peel out the wick tab, and wash thoroughly. The jar makes a beautiful plant pot, bathroom organizer, or desk accessory.

The most common cause is that the melt pool has not reached the edges of the container. Allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to pool fully to the glass wall, this releases the essential oils evenly. Room size and ventilation also affect scent throw. Smaller, less-ventilated rooms will feel more fragrant. Essential oils are not as strong smelling as synthetic perfume oils.

All orders are carefully packed to prevent damage in transit. Candles are wrapped individually and cushioned with recycled packaging materials. We use minimal, recyclable packaging in keeping with our commitment to sustainable practices.

If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the damage and contact us within 7 days of delivery at sales@pureplanthome.com. We will arrange a replacement or refund promptly.

We accept returns on unopened, unused products within 30 days of delivery. To initiate a return, please contact us at sales@pureplanthome.com with your order number. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

We are not able to accept returns on candles that have been burned. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please reach out to us and we will do our best to make it right.

We sincerely apologize for the error. Please contact us at sales@pureplanthome.com within 7 days of receiving your order with your order number and a photo of what you received. We will ship the correct item immediately and arrange pickup or return of the incorrect one at no cost to you.

Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds are processed within 3-5 business days. Your bank or credit card provider may take additional time to post the credit to your account.
